confirmed as 2nd April 1848 from Birth Certificate. Marriage of John
Brown WOOD to sarah PEAREY on 16th May 1868 at Acklam confirmed from
Marriage Certificate. Marriage of John WOOD to Ann BROWN on 19th May
1846 at Great Ayton Parish Church confirmed from marriage Certificate
as well as Parish Records. Birth of John LEATHAM on 10th November
1879 from Birth Certificate. Marriage of John LEATHAM to Sarah Jane
WOOD confirmed from Marriage Certificate as taking place on 26th
December 1900 at Guisborough Register Office.

Since the last update in 2003 a
lot of things have happened including the death of my beloved wife in
March 2004 and the death of my son in December 2007. There have been
a lot of additions to the files regarding various families and some
ammendments where I had inadvertently linked people with the wrong
spouse and children. This had occurred on only two occassions that I
am aware of, and have been rectified. I apologise for any
inconvenience this may have caused. As mentioned there have been so
many additions to the files that they are to long to list.
As mentioned elsewhere I would urge people visiting
the site to contact me before accepting the information contained as
100% accurate. I have a lot of information from Parish Records,
Censuses, IGI , etc which verifies a lot of the records but which do
not appear on this web site. As people who have contacted me know, I
am quite willing to share this information.
